1. SEAN’S MUSIC FACTORY

Some kids like to sing [la la la la la]

Some kids like to dance [check out my moves]

Some kids like to play

Each and every chance

Have we got the place for you

Let’s kick it with some rhymes

Sean’s Music Factory

Kids make the factory shine

We work all day

Building music to play our way

Come take a tour

If you really want some more

It’s a factory with gears

Music bars for your ears

Smokestacks blow notes

Who can sing the longest noooooooooooote?

There are instruments galore

lead the band that’s never bored

Sean’s music factory

Get up off the floor

We work all day

Building music to play our way

Come take a tour

If you really want some more

Our workers never need a break

Cause the music tastes like cake

We work all day

Building music to play our way

Come take a tour

If you really want some more

2. DRAGONFLY

Up down side to slide…flap your wings do the dragonfly.

Up down side to slide…flap your wings do the dragonfly.

The dragonfly’s the smoothest bug, they don’t carry a disease

They don’t sting or bite us but catch prey with ease

They are so colorful and beautiful in flight

lived large before the dinos at half your height

So let’s join them come take flight

Up down side to side. Flap your wings do the dragonfly

Up down side to side. Flap your wings do the drangonfly

Front back side to side, every which way do the dragonfly

Front back side to side every which way do the dragonfly

They are superhero bugs, flying fastest by far

The biggest and the sharpest eyes for sure

Though I would not dare to hurt one, they can not feel pain

So different from us but love them all the same

So let’s join them come take flight

Up down side to side. Flap your wings do the dragonfly

Up down side to side. Flap your wings do the dragonfly

Front back side to side, every which way do the dragonfly

Front back side to side every which way do the dragonfly

Repeat chorus

3. TWO LITTLE BLACKBIRDS

Two little blackbirds sitting on a hill, one name Jack, and one named Jill. Fly away Jack. Fly Away Jill. Come back Jack. Come back Jill

Chirping in a crowd…soft/loud

Flying to and fro…. high/low

Following the Beat… stop/repeat

Going on a date…. early/late

Sitting on a hat… sharp/flat

Hanging with their dad… happy/sad

Listening to Bach….hip hop/rock

Eating cookie dough….fast/slow

Sitting in a tree…gets Stuck…one flys free…fly away.. I can’t, I’m stuck! Fly away free. Come back… Still here…Come back free.

4. Ps AND Qs

If you’re gonna’ have to toot

Cause that sound will hurt to mute

Everybody does it sometimes

But leave the room… at least give some room

And say excuse me if that bum chimes

Mind your Ps and Qs

You know exactly what to do

Please! Excuse me! Thank you! will take you all the way

A burp may escape

You could have a worser fate

In some countries it’s considered kind

But do us all a favor

Try to muffle up that flavor

Say excuse me and we’ll all be fine

Mind your Ps and Qs

These are some simple clues

Minor manner memos help you ‘member what you’re meant to say

Some traditions should be kept

If we all can accept

A bless you when someone sneezes

Use that vampire arm

And the blesser won’t be harmed

Excuse me is all that is needed

Mind your Ps and Qs      (Mind your Ps and Qs)

You know exactly what to do      (It’s nice to say….)

Please! Excuse me! Thank you! will take you all the way

Mind your Ps and Qs      (Mind your Ps and Qs)

These are some simple clues      (It’s nice to say…)

Minor manner memos help you ‘member what you’re meant to say

I did not mean to offend

With this song and to that end

I’ll mind my Ps and Qs

Thank you! That’s it! The end!

5. KINDERGARTEN SHOES (Featuring Jillian) By Jillian Mendelson

It’s my first day of school

And everybody knows

I got my kindergarten shoes, and my lunch box, and my back-pack

I got my kindergarten shoes and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten shoes and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten shoes and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten shoes and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten lunch box and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten lunch box and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten lunch box and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten lunch box and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten back-pack and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten back-pack and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten back-pack and I’m ready to move

I got my kindergarten back-pack and I’m ready to move

6. SICK SONG

When You’ve got a runny nose and you’re sick right to your toes              [snuff]

Here’s my aid to give a healthy view

When you’re lying in your bed with a bubbly, bubbly head[sing while holding nose]

Use the time to think of something new

A song…A trick…What keeps you mind off the ick?

A joke…A story…Make sure it’s not too gory

Whatever it is that satisfies your time

So let’s snuff and cough our sickly blues away

Treat it like it’s just a rainy day

I’m sorry if your tummy’s kind of peeved

Imagination’s really all you need

When your tummy has an ache you “go for crying out sakes”

The words you say don’t even come out right

And if your throats got you down and you sound like Scratchy Town

Who needs to talk when you can draw or write?

So plan a trip, even with those chapped up lips

Go watch YouTube, you’re forgiven if you’re rude

Whatever it is that satisfies your time

So let’s snuff and cough our sickly blues away

Treat it like it’s just a rainy day

I’m sorry if your tummy’s kind of peeved

Imagination’s really all you need

Wash your hands. Make that plan. Easy to take this stand

No Germs go to the next man

Wash every single time. Even if there’s a line

No germs to the next woman

So let’s snuff and cough our sickly blues away

Treat it like it’s just a rainy day

I’m sorry if your tummy’s kind of peeved

Imagination’s really all you need

7. LOVE AND MUSIC

This guitar

It’s holding me nicely

It’s power charged

With beams that will light me

Can’t say it’s only music if it’s love

Fear can be defeated. Remember you’re the sweetest…

Crowd …together, share this vison of hope

Love thy neighbor, make music their favor

Over my head

The Jedi guitar way

Under me leg

The power we all play

Roshambo! Yes, love will always win

Guitar moves bring joy from where I’ve been

Can’t say it’s only music if it’s love

Fear can be defeated. Remember you’re the sweetest…

Crowd …together, share this vison of hope

Love thy neighbor, make music their favor

How can you spread your love?

Oooh! Whatcha gonna’ do with love?

How can you spread your love?

Oooooh!

8. OPEN AND SHUT THEM

Intro: [We are going to open and shut our fingers, but be sure they don’t creep into your mouth….especially with Cheeto hands]

Open and shut them

Give a little clap                                [clap 3 times]

Open and shut them

Fold them in your lap     [tap lap]

Creep them, creep them

Right up to your chin

Open up your little mouth but

Do not let them in

[repeat with extended ending]

Wiggle and fold them, wiggle and fold them, give yourself a snap

Wiggle and fold them, wiggle and fold them, give your head a tap

Creep them, creep them, slowly creep them, right down to your knees

Tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle, everybody freeze.

Tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle, everybody sneeze

[Sean: Let’s try other body parts like your elbows, your patellas, or even your philtrum.

Kid: Philtrum?!… that sounds gross

Sean: It’s just that area between your nose and mouth…that’s hard to clap

Sean: My favorite, is the axillae

Kid: You mean favorite thing to do is act silly?

Sean: No, I mean, we should open and shut our axillae… you know? Our armpits…

Kid: Oh brother! You’re not that humorous.

Sean:  Great idea!

Kid: What now?!

Sean: We’ll use our humerus bones. They’re the ones that go from the elbow to the shoulder.

Kid: Your epidermis is showing.

10. NIGHT OWL AND EARLY BIRD

He wakes up in the morning with light in his heart

She goes to bed with stars so bright, it cancels out the dark

And when they get together their dreams do come true

Cause a night owl and an early bird help to see each other’s views

Early greets the day his thoughts are running wild

Owl wants to sleep in for just a little while

Night Owl stays awake planning the next day

Early’s snoring loudly sleeping right away

But together they sing

Hoo, Hoo!

Tweet, tweet.

Just because they’re sun and moon doesn’t mean they’re out of tune

They meet there in the middle where their time starts to bloom

So Owl plays candy crush and Early talks too fast

They give each other space to breath. You know it’s meant to last

Hoooo

Tweetle deetle dee

But Together they Sing

Hoo, hoo!

Tweet, tweet!

HIGH FIVE
I used to say hello to everyone I passed
Now I give high-fives they are a blast
So let’s say hello, come on slap me some skin
What’s up and where have you been

High five high five it’s good to be alive
High five high five and the world comes to life

A melting pot’s where I live… means different cultures meet
I use this high five song to learn how they greet
Chokala in Spanish and dame cinco too
In India “de taali”….What’s high-five to you?

High five high five it’s good to be alive
High five high five and the world comes to life

Hey, high fives the way
It makes better days
Lots of kids play
Sing if you may

High five high five that touch makes you alright
High five high five and the world comes alive

A fist bump, a handshake a hug or a kiss
As long as it welcomes, do as you wish
So slip me a five common join in the fun
Up-high the game we just won

High five high five it’s good to be alive
High five high five and the world comes to life

MOST EXCITING
This is the most exciting song I’ve ever heard
[snoring sounds]
-Wake up!
This is the most exciting song I’ve ever heard
-You already did that part
It will get you right up on your feet
[snoring sounds]
-Forget it!
No, I got this!

Move like Turbo. Don’t freeze like Anna
Let it go like you never had to sleep
Time to get pumped up like a bicycle tire
Speaking of which is anyone tired

This is the most exciting song I’ve ever heard
It’ll get you right up on your feet
yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Time to get pumped up like a bicyle tire
Moving to the beat like I just caught on fire

This is the most exciting song I’ve ever heard
It will get you right up on your feet
This is the most exciting song I’ve ever heard
It will put you all right to sleep start counting sheep….1, 2, 3 ,4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9…..gummy

This is the most exciting song we’ve never heard
It always puts him to sleep
Let’s run and play while he’s counting sheep
We’ll sing it nice and soft and we’ll barely make a peep
-…..14, 26

MAKE IT UP AS YOU GO
 [Bass]
Logan: That’s too slow….speed it up!
[Bass groove from actual song starts]
Logan: yeah, that sounds good
Sean: Ok… now the drums
Logan- Can we try a different feel!
Sean- yeah, something more Caribbean
[Drums change feel]
Sean- We need a melody…how about this?…bum bum ba da dum
Logan- Boring!
Sean- How’s this? Ba da da da da da da…I’m liking that. Let’s drop in some accordion[accordion plays a bar]….forget that!…How about some piano?….We need a hook!
Logan- Captain Hook?!
Sean-No, the hook is the most memorable part of a song. Check this out!

Make the song up as you go. Common now and go with the flow
Sing about what you know, but shhhhh keep it on the down low

The tempo, the rhythm, the bass are in check. The melody’s all good so now we’re all set
Now drop in the horns, you can’t go wrong. Everyone sing the hook to this song

Make the song up as you go. Common now and go with the flow
Sing about what you know, but shhhhh keep it on the down low

Now that we’re in the groove it’s time this song really moves
So get up, shake it, shake it… shout what’s next?
We’ll double up the chorus ‘cause you’re the best

Make the song up as you go. Common now and go with the flow
Sing about what you know, but shhhhh keep it on the down low

[Chorus repeats]

Logan: We need a break!
Sean: Good idea! This is called the bridge. It’s like taking a big musical breath
Logan: We need keyboard. We need saxophone. We need tuba. We need…a guitar. We need xylophone. We need trumpet. We need flute. We need electrical guitar.
I think we covered everything…..

As we went along we made up the song
Dingity dig dong we’re running long
My part’s the bomb! The music’s strong
But when this chorus ends, please hit a gong[Final chorus with gong]

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

You are what you eat. I love cheese I guess I’m cheesy
Eating healthy food can make you happy and it’s easy
Eat some kale. Be the King or Queen of Greens
It taste delish and makes you rich……in nutrients

I’m a sweet potato. Got an orange glow so I’ve been told
Popping blueberries keeps out colds and makes my brain bold
You won’t turn blue but they’re berry yummy
Here’s the truth about the foods we put in our tummy

All of this is good fun but really just remember
It’s a piece of cake to share a cake with family members
Just don’t eat like a horse and mix in healthy foods
Food gives you energy and helps our attitudes. Well alright!

You are what you eat. I’m a nut cause I like almonds
Avocado, yum! Seaweed, oats… Now what’s in common?
They’re the best fuel for our engines each day
An apple a day keeps the doctor away

All of this is good fun but really just remember
It’s a piece of cake to share a cake with family members
Just don’t eat like a horse and mix in healthy foods
Food gives you energy and helps our attitudes

What did you eat today? Gummy bears and pasta
What did you eat today? Pizza and broccoli
What did you eat today? Mashed potatoes and turkey
What did you eat? What did you eat? What did you eat? What did you eat?

All of this is good fun but really just remember
It’s a piece of cake to share a cake with family members
Just don’t eat like a horse and mix in healthy foods
Food gives you energy and helps our attitudes

HIP HOP PARK
To the park, play it smart, take a couple friends
Play it cool by the rules this won’t be the end
Hit the slide take a ride on the swing of your choice
Climb the thing while you sing in a hip hop voice

Hip-hop park ya don’t stop till dark

See what this one’s got

Picnic meal, water wheel and it’s drippin’ down the funnel

RAP INTERLUDE
A hairstylist baker
Started dancing with a shaker
‘Cause his business did quite well
From all the stuff he’d sell
He’d roll some dough
And style a fro
And sometimes cook the hair of Joe
Yikes!

OVER IN THE BAY
Over in the Bay near the fog mixed with the sun
Stood a big Bay Bridge and that Golden Gate one
Creek said the bridges. I creek said the one
As the cars drove over through the fog mixed with sun

Over in the Bay with those San Francisco views
Alcatraz and Treasure were those little islands two
Breezy were these islands. Breezy were the two
As we took a ferry boat from the  islands with a view

Over in the Bay near the Muir Woods redwood trees
Lived a sea lion mommy and her little pups three
Arf said the mommy. We arf said the three
As they swam towards Marin and the Muir Woods redwood trees

Over in the Bay SilconValley soars
The tech savvy birthplace and these companies four
Invent said the valley. Invent said the four
As they Google Facebook YouTube with an Apple right in store

Over in the Bay where the Giants fans thrive
Were two Giant players and their little children five
I’ll catch the ball said Posey and catch it said the five
As he dove into the stands where the Giants fans thrive

Over in the Bay where the kids click rhythm sticks
Was Sean’s Music Factory and his music classes six
Sing said the teacher. We sing said the six
As they danced, drummed and played with their red rhythm sticks

Over in the Bay where the weather is close to heaven
Lived environment lovers and friends that numbered seven
Dig said the woman. We dig said the seven
As they planted veggie gardens in our weather close to heaven

Over in the Bay where the fish took the bait
Lived a group of fisherman and their fleet of boats eight
Chill said the good friends. We chill said the eight
There’s beauty in the skyline and the fish all took our bait.

PET PEEVES
When you become parents, you’ll understand, grown-ups have certain pet peeves
-Dah!
Dah!
Pet peeves annoy you or irk you,
-What’s that?!
Don’t ask me if you please
So here’s a tiny list of things that drive me up a wall
Pardon me, they’re silly things so do not be alarmed

Cheeto hands and stinky feet
Struggling with a car seat
These are a few of my least favorite things
Cheeto hands and stinky feet
Sippy cups and car seats
These pet peeves make parents smile when they sing

Sometimes it feels good to get it off your chest
And put your feelings on display even when you are a mess
Other times you bottle up….keep feelings to yourself
You’ll write a playful song like this, screaming out for help

Cheeto hands and stinky feet
struggling with a car seat
These are a few of my least favorite things
Be polite Eat your food
One last chance Lose the ‘tude
Past bed time… pajama drawer
Put that on… tug of war
Sing along mom and dad
Kids join in. I know it’s sad
These are a few of my least favorite things
Cheeto hands and stinky feet
Sippy cups and car seats
These pet peeves make parents smile when they sing

Dah! Would you just get in the car seat?
Please just get in the car seat
What is this gummy stuff on the car seat?
You just spilled your Sippy cup
Just get in the car seat
[unclear frustrated parent talk]

TICKLE MONSTER
I see the tickle monster
I see it right in front of me
Fingers long and dancey
It’s coming even closer to me

I know it’s gonna tickle [Kids laughing]
And then I will giggle
I know it’s gonna tickle me

Gotta get its hands
Yeah here’s the plan
Gotta get its hands and stop that monster if we get it clappin’

So give us a hand
Clap if you can
We’ll force those tickles to finally end

We’ll turn the tables as soon as we’re able
We’ll tickle that tricky tickler     [Kids laughing]
Once it begins to laugh then we win
The Tickle Monster will give up

Tickle, tickle, a tickle, a tickle
Tickle, tickle, a tickle, a tickle
Tickle, tickle, a tickle, a tickle
Tickle, tickle, a tickle, a tickle

I see the tickle monster
I see it right in front of me
Fingers long and dancey
It’s coming even closer to me

Gotta get its hands
Yeah here’s the plan
Gotta get its hands and stop that monster if we get it clappin’

[Kids laughing]
